Truskavets - city resort

Truskavets is one of the most original and most attractive balneological resorts of Ukraine. The resort is located in the picturesque valley at the foothills of the eastern Carpathians on the altitude of 350m above the sea level. This is amazingly beautiful place with the crystal-clear air which is located in the middle of the forestall slopes and fast-flowing rivers.Truskavets is the ecologically pure area. It is rich of the natural resources variability resort appears to be one of the ancient health resorts of the Europe. However this town has its own unique history, which is tightly related with the health improvement of the millions of people.

In the 20’s-30’s of the past century Truskavets obtains the fame of one of the leading resorts of Europe. Its recovery capacities can easily challenge with such worldwide famous resorts as Vishy, Baden-Baden, Karlovy Vary. Even in those times the ambassadors and the presidents of the foreign countries spent their vacations.

Nowadays Truskavets is one of the biggest resort towns, where up to 15000 persons can spend their vacations simultaneously. During the period of one year near 200 thousand patients are visiting this resort from Ukraine and abroad.

The climate of  Truskavets is moderate, warm and humid. The average annual temperature varies from +6,5 to +8,8°С. The minimum daily temperature can be observed in the early morning, the maximum - in 14-16 p.m

The winter in Truskavets is usually warm; the air temperature is rarely decreases to -20°С, the thickness of the snow coverage does not exceed 0,2-04 м.

The spring is lengthy, often the wind force reaches to 20-30 m/s. In this period the intensive melting has place with floods on the streams and rivers.

In summer the temperature sometimes elevates to 30-32°С and it’s often rainy. The forests around the resort are rich of mushrooms, nuts, and berries: strawberries, red bilberries, raspberry, blackberry. The autumn is dry and warm, the clear and cloudless weather is prevailing.
